I suppose it all started with Aslan, but I’m absolutely bonkers over anthropomorphic animals. Chickens in suits, reading dogs, conversational bears…. I love it. In fact, I think I adore owls as much as I do because their eyes and faces seem so expressive.
I thought I’d gather up a few of my most recent favorite personable animals and share them with you all:
“You should probably put your bandit hat on now. Personally, I- I don’t have one, but I modified this tube sock.” I love this movie!
Emily Martin of The Black Apple creates some of my favorite animal prints. In addition to these adorable hedgehogs doing laundry, she also has prints of dancing bears and a mouse quartet. (She, too, also has a Sublime Stitching pattern!)
Some more art! This is another favorite artists, Jon Carling.
Okay, these animals aren’t necessarily anthropomorphic, but they are so darn cute. I haven’t tried making amigurumi yet, but this book has me hankering for a bevy of yarn animal friends.
Two words: Paddington Bear. Everyone loves this beslickered lover of orange marmalade.
